Reconciliation dinners have been developed as a way to share experiences and stories amongst Indigenous and non-Indigenous friends and allies. There are no rules except to have an open door, open heart and a commitment to reconciliation. 100% of the door goes to Indigenous projects such as Indigenous Artists Cooperatives, or to the guest speakers, who are also always Indigenous. Dinners can be organized in any community that has pledged to cultivate well connections and can be held in donated space or in homes where transportation is easy for all. The focus is sharing a pot luck meal with friends, some new, some old and building healthy relationships. The Indigenous Life Festival and Reconciliation Dinners foster learning and awareness leading to social change.
